# Voice AI opening scripts

Replace `{business}` and `{name}` where shown. Test with your actual voice provider — cadence matters more than wording.

---

## Standard inbound

> "Hi, you've reached {business}. I'm the assistant — I can help with bookings, existing appointments and general questions. If you'd prefer to speak to someone directly, just say so. How can I help?"

## After-hours

> "Hi, you've reached {business}. We're closed right now, but I can take a message, help you book online, or answer common questions. What works best?"

## Returning caller (if CRM match)

> "Hi {name}, welcome back. I can see your details on file — how can I help today?"

## Qualification bridge

> "Got it. Before I book that in, I'll need your email for the calendar invite — can you spell it for me?"

## Escalation to human

> "I'll get someone from the team to call you back. I've noted {summary}. Is this number the best one to reach you on?"

## Cannot help

> "I'm not confident I have the right answer for that. I'll flag this for the team — they'll come back to you. Can I confirm your email?"

## Guardrails for Voice

- Never read URLs aloud — offer SMS follow-up if the platform supports it.
- Confirm spellings: "That's J-O-H-N at example dot com?"
- If silence > 5 seconds: "Still there? I can wait, or you can call back anytime."
