How do you migrate from HubSpot to GoHighLevel?

Map the pipeline first, keep HubSpot live until a sample matches, then switch. Marketlinx Digital does this inside your own GoHighLevel account.

Marketlinx Digital moves a working sales process from HubSpot into the client's own GoHighLevel account. Gareth Richardson is the founder. The company is in London and works for teams in the UK and worldwide. This page sets out the method, step by step.

Pipedrive comes up in the same searches. Treat it as another CRM people leave. The files you export are different. The order of the work is the same.

What order should a HubSpot to GoHighLevel migration follow?

Four stages, and the old CRM stays on until the last one. This is the same order as the published Zapier to n8n migration: list what is live, rebuild it, run both, then cut over.

  1. Audit. Write the objects that matter: people, companies, deals, tickets, owners, pipelines and the custom properties staff actually filter on. Note which HubSpot workflows send mail or move a deal. Anything unused is a candidate to leave behind.
  2. Rebuild in GoHighLevel before the import. Contacts, opportunities, pipelines, users and any custom objects need a home. A field with no destination becomes a column nobody opens.
  3. Import a sample, not the whole history. Check owners, stages and dates on records staff recognise. Fix the map. Then bring the rest across.
  4. Run both systems while new enquiries still land in HubSpot or Pipedrive. Switch forms, calendars and inboxes only when the sample matches. Then turn the old automations off.

What usually needs a decision, not a straight copy?

Owners. HubSpot users and GoHighLevel users are not the same list. Decide who receives a deal before the import, or everything lands on one login.

Pipelines. Stage names that sound alike often mean different things to sales. Agree the GoHighLevel stages first. Deals that were abandoned in HubSpot do not all deserve a stage.

Email and forms. Historical opens do not move as a usable workflow. New forms should post into GoHighLevel. Old nurture that still sends from HubSpot will double-message people if you leave it running after the cutover.

Attachments and notes. Export them on purpose. A contact with no notes looks empty to the person who used to rely on them.

Where does this sit with the rest of the work?

The migration is one brief. The ongoing CRM, objects and connections are the custom CRM and integrations offer. The steps for designing that CRM, including API work, are in how to build a custom CRM and integrations in GoHighLevel.

Named systems such as Salesforce, Zapier, QuickBooks and Xero are covered in GoHighLevel API integrations. HighLevel's own developer docs are the reference for the API itself: HighLevel Marketplace docs.

Teams outside the UK start from GoHighLevel developer services worldwide. Marketlinx Digital quotes a fixed project price, quoted after the free audit. Nothing on this page is a rate card.

Questions before you decide

Can you move from HubSpot to GoHighLevel without losing the pipeline?

Yes, if the stages are mapped before the export and both systems stay live until a sample of real records matches. Marketlinx Digital does that work inside the client's own HighLevel account. The figure is a fixed project price, quoted after the free audit.

Does the same sequence work for Pipedrive?

The export files differ. The order does not. List what must move, rebuild it in GoHighLevel, run both, then switch traffic.

Will the old HubSpot workflows come across automatically?

No. HubSpot workflows do not become GoHighLevel workflows by themselves. Each one is rebuilt, or deliberately left behind, after the audit.

Who keeps the GoHighLevel login after the move?

The client. Marketlinx Digital is added as a user that can be removed. The HighLevel account and the data stay in the client's name.
